Superkids 5-6 Years
Through the years
Over the years we have developed very popular programmes for our 5 and 6 year old campers, with a wide range of activities for both indoors and outdoors. There will be a chance to try out kwik cricket, short tennis, soccer and parachute games, plus nature trails and treasure hunts, while the pace indoors is less strenuous and aimed more at relaxation. Here the Superkids will explore creativity at arts & crafts, and have some fun through games, acting, story telling, singing, and performing arts.
A Familiar Spot
Each group of 5 & 6 year olds will have their own base where they will feel relaxed and safe. A fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher is in charge of each group, supported by caring and sensitive staff who are chosen for their skills, ability, and experience in dealing with the needs of younger children. We have a 1:8 ratio for the Superkids, and many staff return year after year to implement these programmes.
The Superkids will have a short swimming session each day supervised by a qualified swimming instructor. All Superkids staff will be present to supervise and encourage, and at least one member of staff will join the children in the shallow end to ensure safety and help to develop confidence. The Superkids will use this pool time in small groups which are assessed by the instructor who will then teach and encourage.
The leader of each age group is responsible for devising and implementing a weekly programme which will provide a wide range of fun and stimulating activities. The children will be introduced to basic ball skills through a number of both indoor and outdoor sports, and this year we will extend our parachute games which are ideal for encouraging quieter children to participate in group activities.
