Staff & Safety

SUPERVISORS

Our foremost priority is the safety of the children and we continue to maintain an excellent safety record. The Campbell College programme is supervised by Paul, Janice, and Daniel Acheson who are responsible for the staff and children participating each week. They are not involved in coaching which leaves them free to concentrate on supervision and to deal with any situation which may arise.

STAFF

All staff are selected on the basis of their qualifications and their experience, with qualified teachers in charge of the Superkids and Super 4s groups. We also consider all applicants’ personality and ability to relate to young people. Most are following teacher training, child care or sporting courses, and many have indicated a desire to work with children as a career. Many of our staff return year after year, and have consistently demonstrated a genuine interest in the children and their development.

We place particular emphasis on staff whose personal skills and abilities are allied to a warm, caring attitude towards children. The success of our courses over the years has largely depended on competent staff with whom the children in our care can easily relate. Our staff will encourage enjoyment, learning and development, and the forging of friendships.

POLICY

Our staff are thoroughly vetted and must follow our Child Care Policy and Staff Manual. These outline a wide range of safety factors which our staff must observe so that safety always comes first at our camp. Our successful combination of safety and fun provides reassurance for parents and a memorable range of experiences for the children.
